NILES - Niles' varsity wrestling team traveled to St. Joseph Thursday evening, where the Bears and Paw Paw posted no major threat to the Vikes.
Niles took a 70-9 win over Paw Paw and a 54-9 win over the Bears.
Winning by forfeits against Paw Paw were Nate Allison (103), Ben Brandstatter (152) and Micah Barrett (215).
Winning by pins were Jake Glueckert (103) against Mario Cobrau (5:07); Bryce Flannery (119) against David Kissinger (2:32); Andy Karsten (125) against Tim Bean (3:12); Casey Amberg (130) against Gary Warnacke (:37); Mason Stephenson (135) against Everett Searle (2:40); Todd Scansen (140) against Chris Meredith (5:42); Alex Zanders (189) against Justin Keech (3:22); and Fenyon Ellison (275) against Mike Fossit (2:29).
Winning by voids against St. Joseph were Allison (103) and Glueckert (112).
Winning by pins were Flannery (119) against D. Jivermilyer (1:28); Stephenson (135) against Steve Imbordino (3:54); Brandstatter (152) against Pat Conrad and (4:48).
Niles will travel to the Eau Claire Invitational on Saturday. Match times are set to begin at 9 a.m.
