Dennis Tushla, of O'Connor and Tushla Attorneys at Law, received a LINKS award from law teacher Kyrie Krenz.
The periodic award given by the Union High School staff stands for Local Individuals Nurturing Kids and Schools.
In her nomination Krenz said, “Attorney Tusla has taken time out of his busy schedule nearly every semester since the fall of 2001 to speak to my Law I classes.
It was also pointed out that Denny's wife Pat received one of the first LINKS awards on May 21, 2002, as a media center volunteer along with Kathy McDonald, former Movies Movies owner.
Other recipients include Bonnie Katlun of Mind over Matters, Randy Melvin of D&R Sports, Cass County Undersheriff Rick Behnke, Daily News Managing Editor John Eby, Signal Travel and Patrick and Patricia Murphy of Murphy's Flowers.
