BUCHANAN - Buchanan Middle Schools have been selected to host the State of Michigan's “Talk Early and Talk Often” parent workshop.
The workshop will be held Wednesday, Dec. 21, at 6:30 p.m. at the Buchanan Middle School Media Center.
Talk Early and Talk Often is a pilot program sponsored by Governor Jennifer Granholm. This 90-minute seminar will offer assistance to parents of middle school youth in developing the skills and confidence necessary to talk with their child about abstinence and sexuality.
The program is designed to help open the lines of communications so parents feel better prepared to capitalize on teachable moments with their child. This workshop has been very well received by middle school parents all over the state.
