Hardee’s robbed Sunday

NILES - Around 11:14 p.m. on Sunday, Niles City Police Officers were sent to Hardee's Restaurant, 734 S. 11th St. on the report of an armed robbery.
Hardee's shift supervisor and another employee, were closing the restaurant and locking up when two men walked behind the counter. One of the men was allegedly holding a knife in his hand. The men grabbed the two employees and took them into the break room. The suspects demanded the keys to the restaurant, the safe code, and money from the cash registers, according to the police report.
The suspects disabled the telephone in the break room and took the employee's cell phone and car keys.
The suspects fled the restaurant on foot, toward Martin's according to one of the employees, with an undisclosed amount of cash. Niles City Detectives and K-9 Officer were sent to assist the road patrol officers. Detectives recovered some money a short distance from Hardee's.
The suspects were described as males around 5 feet 7 inches tall wearing hooded sweatshirts and blue jeans. This robbery is still under investigation and anyone with information should call the Niles City Police Department Detective Bureau at 683-1313.
