NILES - The Niles varsity wrestling team improved its overall record to 7-1 Wednesday evening with a 60-14 win over visiting Otsego in non-conference action.
Winning by pins for the Vikes were Jake Glueckert at 112; Bryce Flannery at 119; Nate Heiermann at 130; Mason Stephenson at 135; John Wregglesworth at 140; Ben Brandstatter at 152 and Jake Groves at 171.
Winning by decision were Dan Lawson at 160 and Chad Nichols at 275 and winning by forfeit were Todd Scansen at 140 and Alex Zanders at 189.
Niles will travel to the Grant Team Invitational on Saturday. Match times are set to begin at 10 a.m.
