NILES - The Granger, Ind., woman whose vehicle slammed into the back end of an SUV on Nov. 23, killing the two occupants inside it, will be in a Berrien County Court room Thursday at 8:30 a.m. at the South County Building for a preliminary examination.
According to a Michigan State police report, Amanda Theresa Christenson, 25, of Granger, was driving north-bound on South 11th Street when she failed to stop at the intersection of South 11th Street and Ontario Road and rear ended the Suzuki SUV driven by Donna Christine Lutin, 52, of Niles. Lutin and her passenger Michael Firmer King, 52, also of Niles, were pronounced dead at the scene.
Lutin's vehicle struck a pick-up truck which was driven by Mark Wayne, 51, of Niles.
