NILES - A small group took on a big job.
Members of the community and the Niles DDA-Main Street promotions committee spent Sunday afternoon decorating Niles' downtown district.
The group of 11 placed garland on fences, lighted trees in the concrete planters and hung wreaths with bows on the lamp posts.
Treasa Wetzel and her granddaughter, Breanna Flarda, came to help with the holiday decorating as a way to become more involved in the community.
Longtime Niles resident Lesley Bookout was also on hand to help the group put the decorations up.
