Lady Chieftains send Lakeshore packing

STEVENSVILLE - Apparently Dowagiac sophomore Katy Stuppy likes playing at Lakeshore High School.
After scoring a school record 38 points against the Lady Lancers earlier this season, Stuppy tossed in 33 points Wednesday night to lift Dowagiac to a 55-46 win over Lakeshore in the Class B District semifinals.
The Chieftains will take on eight-time defending champion Niles in the title game Friday night at 7:30.
Niles has defeated Dowagiac 52-37 and 63-37 already this season.
Kristy Cooper finished with 10 points on the night.
Dowagiac also got six points from Holly Lowe. Kim Luthringer added four points and eight rebounds as the Chieftains held a 33-32 advantage on the boards. Stuppy also had eight rebound, three assists and three steals on the night.
Molly Lange led Lakeshore with 12 points, while Katie Pappa added 11 points.
