DeWITT - Michigan Apple Queen 2005 Paula Fisher of Berrien Springs, First Runner-up Emily Westendorp of Dowagiac and Second Runner-up Ashley Wright of Belding will participate in Chicago's State Street Thanksgiving Day Parade.
The State Street Thanksgiving Day Parade is a nationally-televised event available in approximately 90 million households.
ABC will carry a live broadcast of the program from 9 until 11 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 24.
Fisher and her court will be riding the Michigan apple industry float designed in a fairy tale theme by former Michigan Apple Queen Janna Klein.
The State Street parade is also the last official appearance by Paula Fisher during her reign as Michigan Apple Queen. The 2006 Michigan Apple Queen will be selected in December.
Michigan Apple Committee is a grower-funded non-profit organization devoted to promotion, education and research activities to distinguish the Michigan apple and encourage its consumption by consumers in Michigan and around the world.
