Dowagiac's Brian Edgerly and Katie Hewitt have been selected as the Daily News Athletes of the Week for Oct. 17-22.
Edgerly tied a school record with seven goals against Coldwater in Dowagiac's 8-1 victory.
Edgerly tied the record set in 1996 by Steve Mazimpaka against Niles.
Hewitt was the top finisher for the Dowagiac girls' cross country team on Saturday at the Big 16 Conference meet hosted by Portage Northern.
Hewitt ran a time of 26:37.
