CASSOPOLIS - Cass County Sheriff Joseph Underwood Jr. reports that deputies responded to a personal-injury accident Friday night around 11 p.m.
The accident occurred on Donnell Road near Paradise Lake Street in Penn Township.
The driver, Adam Baxter, 23, of Vandalia, stated he swerved to miss a deer and went off the road.
It appears that Baxter struck an embankment and rolled his vehicle.
He was treated on the scene and transported to Borgess-Lee Memorial Hospital in Dowagiac by Life Care Ambulance Service.
Baxter was not wearing his seat belt at the time of the accident.
Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the accident, deputies reported.
