The Dowagiac Middle School eighth grade basketball team defeated Benton Harbor Charter Thursday afternoon 35-28.
Dowagiac will complete it season on Monday at home against Benton Harbor Fairplain.
Dowagiac grabbed an early 12-9 lead which it extended to 23-19 at halftime.
The Chieftains outscored Benton Harbor 6-3 in the third quarter to take a 29-22 lead into the final eight minutes.
Both teams scored six points in the final period.
Torie Low led Dowagiac with 19 points, while Yasmine Chambliss added six points.
Dowagiac also got four points each from Britnee Allerton and Cassie Stone.
