The Dowagiac Middle School eighth grade Orange team defeated Niles Ring Lardner Monday night, 27-22.
Torie Lowe scored 16 points to lead the Chieftains, while Britnee Allerton added five points and Marcie Ennesser four points. Kelsey Foote finished with two points.
The eighth grade Black team losted its second game of the season as Niles posted a 29-7 victory.
Joanna Pickar, Macy Howard, Taylor Gross and Yasmine Chambliss scored for Dowagiac.
In a combined game against Lakeshore last Wednesday, Dowagiac lost 35-29.
Lakeshore jumped out to a 12-4 first quarter lead and never looked back.
Lowe led Dowagiac with 19 points, while Chambliss and Allerton both scored four points.
Cassie Stone added two points.
