The Dowagiac Middle School seventh grade basketball teams swept St. Joe Upton Monday afternoon.
The Chieftain Orange team posted a 39-22 win over St. Joe, while the Black team posted a 31-8 win.
Dowagiac scored 19 points in the third quarter to break open a close contest.
Tori Lowe and Britnee Allerton lead all scorers for the Orange team.
Yasmine Chambliss scored a game-high 16 points to lead Dowagiac to victory over Upton.
The Chieftains turned a close game into a 15-point halftime lead with a big second quarter.
Joanna Pickar added nine points, while Macy Howard finished with six points.
Playing well defensively for Dowagiac were Ali Hess, Cierra Mattix and Taylor Gross.
Dowagiac will travel to Lakeshore on Wednesday for its next contest.
