Bobcat runners take 12th at Allegan Invitational

NILES - Brandywine's boys' cross country team placed 12th on Saturday at the Allegan Invitational.
Bobcat head coach Jim Murray stated that the top runners from the schools raced together in race one, while the rest of the runners ran together in race two.
Brian Wieger was the top runner for Brandywine with a time of 18:22. Dan DeVos had a time of 19:08; Tyler Weedon finished with a time of 19:09; Curtis Wilson had a time of 19:13; Cameron Roth posted a time of 22:12; Chase Molica had a time of 23:42 and Tom Buzzard finished with a time of 23:46.
The Bobcat's girls' team was unable to post a score due to only four runners. Five have to be in attendance to post a score.
Ashley Harrell ran her personal best with a time of 22:07. Sarah DeVos finished with a time of 24:34. Caylin Garrad posted a time of 24:36 and Bettina Wolfe finished with a time of 25:31.
Brandywine will return to the course today at 4:30 p.m. when they compete with Edwardsburg and Berrien Springs for a Lakeland Conference meet at Southwestern Michigan College.
