THREE OAKS - Visiting Brandywine squared its season and Lakeland Conference records Friday night with a 40-0 victory over River Valley.
The Bobcats scored 14 points in the opening quarter and 27 points in the first half enroute to the victory.
Matt Duckett rushed for 123 yards on just seven carries and scored three touchdowns to spark the Brandywine offense.
Duckett scored on runs of 7-, 3- and 99-yards.
Duckett's first touchdown gave Brandywine a 7-0 lead after he also kicked the extra point.
The Bobcats (3-3, 2-2 LAC) made it 14-0 in the opening 12 minutes on a two-yard run by Taylor Brenner and a Duckett kick.
Duckett scored both touchdowns in the second quarter has he plowed in from three-yards out and then raced 99-yards to complete the second half scoring. Duckett was one-of-two in extra points in the period.
Brett Gilpin returned the second half kickoff 85-yards as the Bobcats upped their advantage to 34-0 following Duckett's kick.
Brenner then completed the scoring for Brandywine with his second touchdown of the night, this one from 53-yards out.
The kick failed.
Brenner finished with 63 yards on just three carries as Brandywine finished with 249 yards rushing.
Brandywine also through the ball for 63 yards to finish the night with 312 yards in total offense.
The Bobcat defense recorded the shutout as they allowed just 78 yards rushing and 200 yards in total offense as River Valley threw for 122 yards.
Both teams fumbled the ball once, while Brandywine also had a pair of interceptions.
John Jackson was the Mustangs' top rusher with 39 yards on 11 carries.
Brandywine returns home Friday night to take on Bridgman, which was upset by Coloma Friday night.
