Rocket Football teams remain undefeated

Dowagiac's Minor Division Team 3 and Major Division Team 2 both posted victories on Saturday to remain undefeated on the season.
The Minor Division squad defeated Lakeshore 26-0, while the Major Division team romped past St. Joseph 44-7.
Minor Division
Dowagiac (2-0) was led to victory by Kyle Frese who rushed for 145 yards on 10 carries and three touchdowns.
Taylor Pannczak finished with 105 yards and a touchdown, while Dylan Payne finished with 75 yards.
Dowagiac finished with 343 yards rushing. Opening the holes for the offense were linemen Jason Weber, Katie Brooks, Tom Smith, Zack Marquart, Alex Payne, Leela Smith and Austin Frechett.
Trenton Lesniak and Aaron Adams helped preserve the shut out with touchdown-saving tackles.
A.J. Smith was the team's top tackler, while Phillip Kocsis, Andrew Wild, Tom Walterhouse, Sawyer Brown, Devin Chapman, Sean Albert, Tyler Wessendorf, Sean Yore and Daquane Brooks also were credited for their defensive efforts.
Dowagiac will host Coloma on Saturday at Hassle Field on Elm Street. Kickoff is set for 9:30 a.m.
Major Division
Dowagiac (3-0) allowed their only first down of the year with seven seconds to play on Saturday when St. Joseph connected on a 30-yard pass play.
Dowagiac dominated the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball.
Blocking for Dowagiac were Matt Dodd, Trent Collett, Zack Ferrier, Dontrell Tucker, Conner East, Jason Reese, Tyle Wade, Nate Dodd and Michael Smith.
Blocking down field were Seth Morris, Kameron Villalobos, Josh LaRock, Brandon Strand, Seth Starrett, Jalen Brooks, Austin Henry and Aaron Hodge.
Adrian Martinez went 2-for-2 on extra point kicks.
Dowagiac will play against Lakeshore No. 2 on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. at Hassle Field.
