Rain washed out the final three matches of Dowagiac's non-conference tennis match on Wednesday with visiting Edwardsburg.
The Chieftains and Eddies will probably not complete the match due to the fact that both teams begin tournament competition this weekend.
The Lady Eddies will competed in the Lakeland Conference tournament on Friday at Leeper Park in South Bend, Ind.
Dowagiac will compete in the Big 16 Conference tournament on Saturday in Battle Creek.
The singles matches will be played at Battle Creek Lakeview High School, while the doubles matches will be contested at Battle Creek Harper Creek.
The Chieftains and Lady Eddies did get five matches completed before the rains came.
However, with three flights going to a third set, the match was not completed and will not count.
Edwardsburg won three flights to Dowagiac's two. The Chieftains were leading in two of the three remaining matches and were knotted at 4-4 in the third.
Winning on Thursday for Dowagiac were Lisa Rubino and Taylor Townsend at No. 1 and No. 3 singles.
Edwardsburg's Michelle Hentz was a winner at No. 4 singles, while the Lady Eddies' No. 2 and No. 4 doubles teams were also victorious.
Lindsey Mette and Chelsie Baucus won at No. 2 doubles, while Lindsey Swann and Saumbera Wiedenmannett were winners at No. 4 doubles.
Rubino defeated Alexa Smith 6-1 and 6-1. Townsend defeated Bethany Marschke 6-4 and 6-1.
Hentz defeated Samantha Stone 6-0 and 6-2. Mette and Baucus defeated Ashley Smith and Kim Rutkowski 6-4 and 6-4. Swann and Wiedenmannett defeated Kate Duszynski and Kayleigh Sundman 6-3 and 7-5.
