Lady Rangers hold off Berrien

Cassopolis' Kelsey Gordon canned all four free throw attempts in the fourth quarter to help stave off upset-minded Berrien Springs Tuesday night.
The Lady Rangers remained undefeated on the season and in the Lakeland Conference with a 31-26 win over host Berrien Springs.
Cassopolis (7-0, 6-0 LAC) outscored Berrien Springs (1-8, 1-4 LAC) 9-6 in the final quarter to secure the victory.
The Lady Rangers and Lady Shamrocks both had nine field goals, however, Cassopolis was 13-of-18 from the free throw line compared to 1-of-8 for Berrien Springs.
Cassopolis was 5-of-8 in the fourth quarter from the charity stripe.
Gordon led all scorers with 13 points. She also had three rebounds.
Cassopolis got eight points, seven rebounds and two steals from Nikitas Nelson and four points with 10 rebounds from Dee Dee Hawkins.
Michelle James also had four points.
Berrien Springs was led by Kayla Casteel's 10 points.
