Dowagiac looking for rebound

Two teams riding different streaks will collide Friday night in Sturgis.
The Dowagiac Chieftains have lost two games in a row after opening the season 3-0.
Sturgis has won its last two games, including a stunning 19-13 win over No. 3 ranked Marshall last Friday night.
After rolling up almost 40 points per game in its three victories, Dowagiac has not scored a point in its previous two contests against Marshall and Lakeshore.
Dowagiac hopes to get back on track against Sturgis.
Sturgis threw for 195 yards and rushed for just 21 Friday night. Marshall rush for 207 yards and threw for 89.
Bo Felt and Raju Armster caught six and four passes respectively.
Armster caught the winning touchdown with 15 seconds left on the clock.
Statistically speaking
Sophomore Jamie Simpson continues to lead the Chieftains offense with 286 yards on 46 carries.
David Sayre is second on the team in rushing with 197 yards while Jake Shelton, who returned to the line up Friday night after sitting out the Marshall contest, has rushed for 130 yards.
Quarterback David Stuppy is 15-of-40 for 248 yards.
