Viking netters defeat Bridgman, 8-0

NILES - Senior night turned out to be a great night for Niles' varsity tennis team as the Lady Vikes took an 8-0 win over visiting Bridgman Tuesday in non-conference action.
A very colorful Viking squad wore knee high blue, gold, pink, red, even red and orange stripped socks to represent and honor their senior members.
At No. 1 singles, Annalee Nelson took a 6-1 and 6-1 win over Lena Thomas.
Nicole Negron won by default at No. 2 singles against Erin McElwain.
No. 3 singles saw a 6-2 and 6-2 victory from Andrea Clabaugh against Jeni Hehl and Nicole Weber took a 6-1 and 6-1 win at No. 4 singles against Amanda Klutts.
In doubles flights, Sam Beck and Danielle Lowery grabbed a 6-1 and 6-0 win over Carlee Maleuitis and Ellie Lyman at No. 1 doubles.
At No. 2 doubles, Heather Croteau and Patty Anton took the 6-0 and 6-2 win against Tricia Warren and Stephanie Kalte.
Meagan Horn and Hilary Landgraf took a 6-2 and 6-3 win at No. 3 doubles against Kelly Gampel and Emily Kamp and Ashley Jenks and Kyra Carpenter took a 6-0 and 6-0 win over Amanda Meyer and Lindsey Clements at No. 4 doubles.
The Vikings return to the court for the third day in a row today when they host Cassopolis for another non-conference match set to begin at 4 p.m.
