Two women arrested for meth

Cass County Drug Enforcement Team investigators arrested two females on methamphetamine-related charges in Dowagiac at approximately 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 27.
CCDET investigators received information that two females were in the area of the Dowagiac city parking lot on S. Front Street and were in the process of delivering methamphetamine.
During this investigation, the two females described in the tip were spotted in this same area by Dowagiac police and upon consenting to a search by CCDET detectives, methamphetamine was found, as well as evidence that led investigators to believe both women were involved in the delivery.
It was also discovered that one of the suspects had four outstanding bench warrants for her arrest.
Both women were transported to the Cass County Jail, where they were lodged for various charges related to possessing and delivering methamphetamine pending their arraignment today in Fourth District Court.
One suspect had two small children with her at the time of her arrest. They were turned over to the Michigan Department of Human Services.
