Classic match ends in Chiefs favor

NILES - A pair of second half goals lifted the Dowagiac varsity soccer team to a 2-0 victory over Niles Tuesday evening in a Big 16 Conference West Division match.
In a very physical, defensive battle, Dowagiac's Tony Black and Adolfo Andrade scored for the Chieftains.
Black scored on a penalty kick in the 58th minute to give the Chieftains the 1-0 lead.
Andrade scored in the 70th minute off an assist from Brian Edgerly to complete the scoring.
Dowagiac and Niles both finished with 13 shots on goal.
Chieftain keeper D.J. Ennesser had 10 saves, while Niles keeper Taylor Robson finished with 11 saves.
Niles will return to the field on Thursday when it hosts Brandywine for a non-conference game set to begin at 5 p.m.
