Edwardsburg’s Penninger, Bronicki finish in top 10 at Berrien Springs Invitational

BERRIEN SPRINGS - Niles captured the Berrien Springs Invitational on Wednesday, Sept. 14.
The Vikings scored 51 points to easily outdistance runner-up Lawrence, which finished with 109 points. Lake Michigan Catholic finished third with Hartford and Buchanan finishing fourth and fifth respectively.
Edwardsburg placed 10th with 229 points, while Cassopolis finished 14th in the boy's portion of the race with 345 points.
Bangor won the girl's title with 74 points. Berrien Springs was second with 91 points and Edwardsburg third with 93 points.
Edwardsburg's Michael Penninger finished second in the boy's race with a time of 17:52. Edwardsburg's Angie Bronicki placed sixth overall with a time of 22:16.
