Coming off an impressive road victory last Friday against Brandywine, Edwardsburg was looking to keep pace in the conference with Berrien Springs and Bridgman.
The Eddies came into Friday night's contest against Coloma having outscored their opponents 65-7 in the last two games.
Edwardsburgs' defense had allowed Brandywine just 96 yards while forcing turnovers.
The Eddies were also looking for some revenge as Coloma defeated Edwardsburg last year 40-20.
This year's outcome was a different story as the Eddies defeated the Comets 28-6.
The Eddies first possession resulted in a fumble that was recovered by Coloma, but "Big Blue's" defense held firm and gave the ball back to their offense on downs.
Just two minutes into the first quarter, Eddies signal caller Steve Gowen connected with running back David Daniels on a 67-yard touchdown pass to put the Eddies up 7-0 in the first quarter, despite having turnovers, penalties and several dropped passes.
The Eddies would once again turn the ball over to Coloma to begin the second quarter. A roughing the passer penalty by the Eddies would give Coloma field position at the Eddies'15-yard line, but the drive would end as a field goal attempt by Coloma would fall short.
Edwardsburg recovered a Comet fumble at the 44-yard line. Eddies' running back Jeff Mortimer walked in for a four-yard touchdown, followed by a David Daniels extra point to give them a 14-0 lead a halftime.
The Eddies opened the third quarter just how they ended the second. A Daniels' catch at the Comets' 13 would set up a Ben Horton two-yard touchdown run to extend the Eddies' lead 21-0 after three quarters.
Coloma would finally get on the scoreboard, when running back Jamie Page's 23-yard run into the Eddies' territory, that turned into a four-yard touchdown for Lucas Fonseca, but the extra point failed. Coloma trailed 21-6.
The Eddies would strike one more time as Daniels would take the ball for 38-yards to paydirt to put the Eddies up 28-6 for good.
The Eddies have currently won three in a row and are 3-1 overall and 2-0 in conference.
Edwardsburg will now host winless River Valley Friday night.
