Two arrested early this morning for possession

NILES - Early this morning, Sept. 20, 2005, troopers from the Michigan State Police Niles Post conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in Niles Township, Berrien County for a traffic violation. Troopers noticed an odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. Further investigation lead to the discovery of approximately two pounds of marijuana, the police report said.
An 18-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman from Goshen, Ind. were both arrested and are being held on charges of possession of marijuana with intent to deliver.
Also seized was a small amount of cash. Both will arraigned today in the 5th District Court, according to the report.
Charges are also being sought in the 5th District Court on a third subject for possession of an unlawful weapon, the report said.
