BERRIEN SPRINGS - The Dowagiac Equestrian team finished ninth in the opening MIHA meet held Sunday at the Berrien County Fairgrounds.
Dowagiac competed in Class B and finished with 34 points.
Karlee Rife led Dowagiac with 12 points, while Marcell Chiddister finished with nine points.
Kelsey Podell and Carin Sobieski both contributed five points to the Dowagiac total. Kayla Dewey scored two points, while Sara Ausra finished with one point.
Also participating were Whitney Podell and Jessica Simmons.
Competition will conclude this weekend as team returns to the fairgrounds on Saturday and Sunday.
