Brandywine gets the job done

NILES - Brandywine's varsity soccer team hosted Cassopolis Monday evening for a Lakeland Conference match up and took a 3-0 win in what turned out to be a very comfortable evening weather wise.
After the first half of play, Brandywine had a 1-0 lead over the Rangers when D.J. Elrod scored a goal on a penalty kick three minutes into the game.
Matt Beaver opened the second half of scoring with a goal at the 66th minute assisted by John Stapleton and Matt Wieger to put the Bobcats up 2-0.
Junior Matt Duckett scored Brandywine's third and final goal during the 69th minute, which was assisted by Wieger to bring the final score to 3-0.
The Bobcats had 18 shots on goal, while Cassopolis had two.
Brandywine goalie Jake Harris had two saves, while Ivan Fedore had 13 for the Rangers.
Brandywine's next game will be on Thursday when the Bobcats host Trinity. Game time is set for 6 p.m.
