Virgil M. "Smokey" Stover, Jr., 50, of Thomson Road, Niles, died at 8:06 p.m. Friday, Sept. 16, 2005, at Borgess Hospital, Kalamazoo, following a brief illness.
The family is gathering privately for funeral services at Halbritter Funeral Home. Pastor Jeffery L. Whittaker of Michiana Christian Embassy and Rev. Colin D. Seitz of Community Evangelical Free Church will be officiating.
Burial will take place at Silverbrook Cemetery, in Niles. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's choice.
