Brian Edgerly and Tony Black both scored a hat trick as Dowagiac blanked visiting Benton Harbor in Big 16 Conference West Division soccer Thursday night, 10-0.
Dowagiac scored all 10 of its goals in the first half enroute to the victory in its first home soccer match of the season.
Edgerly scored the opening goal just four minutes into the match.
He also tallied at the 18th and 27th minutes.
Black had back-to-back goals in the 12th and 14th minutes, while his third goal of the night came in the 21st minute.
Also scoring for Dowagiac were Adam Hess (seventh minute), Kyle Kowalski (10th minute), Pat Brosnan (35th minute) and Robbie Hyche (38th minute).
Dowagiac (2-3-1) outshot Benton Harbor 24-0.
The Chieftains were scheduled to compete against South Haven Saturday night, however, that match has been canceled. The match will not rescheduled.
