NILES - Niles' boy's and girl's cross country teams both took wins over host Buchanan Tuesday in non-conference action.
The boy's defeated the Bucks 22-35. Steve Scally was the overall winner for the Vikes with a time of 18:46.
Dan Geiger took third with a time of 20:07, fourth place went to Andy Karsten with a time of 20:13, Nick Schuck took sixth with a time of 20:48, eighth place went to Brett Ortiz with a 21:02, Derek Purcell took 10th with a 22:30, 11th went to Shawn Calhoun with a 22:37 and 14th went to Matt Ftacek with a 24:45
The team returns to action today when they travel to Paw Paw. Meet time is set to begin at 4:30 p.m.
The girls walked away with a 26-29 victory in their only dual meet of the year.
Samantha Brawley took first place honors for the Vikes, Liz VandenHeede grabbed second, Autumn Grayson took fourth, Tami Madison took ninth and Amamda Smith took 10th.
