NILES - No donation made to the hurricane victims is too small.
This is what the children at the Niles Seventh-day Adventist School believed as they set out in collecting donations for those in the areas affected by the hurricane.
From Sept. 1 through the 16 the students are asking family, friends and community members to donate even just a dollar to help the Hurricane Katrina victims.
Katlyn has already collected $153 for the hurricane victims and has set a personal goal to collect $253 by the end of the drive.
Katlyn believes by her and her schoolmates doing this project it will inspire other children and adults to go out and help in anyway they can.
Currently the 54 students at the Niles Seventh-day Adventist School have raised $550 and are looking to increase that amount. At the end of their donation drive the school will send their funds to the Michigan Seventh-day Adventist conference which has set up a disaster relief fund.
