NILES - The Brandywine tennis team remained undefeated Wednesday afternoon as it slipped past visiting Edwardsburg, 5-3.
The Lady Bobcats (6-0 overall, 3-0 Lakeland Conference) won three out of four doubles flights to capture the victory.
The Lady Eddies and Brandywine split the singles flights with the Lady Bobcats winning at No. 1 and No. 3 with Amy Konopinski and Amelia Harrison respectively.
Edwardsburg won at No. 2 and No. 4 singles with Alia Zander and Stacey Miller. Zander won by injury default over Jill Sinkoff.
In doubles competition, Brandywine's Bethany Daniel and Ashley Valentine defeated Bethany Marschke and Lindsey Mette at No. 1 doubles, 6-0 and 6-2.
At No. 2 doubles, Brandywine's Erin Sinkoff and Jamie Bartuska defeated Michelle Hentz and Chelsie Baucus, 6-0 and 6-4.
Edwardsburg picked up its lone doubles victory in the third flight where Amanda Woodill and CC Roberts defeated Erin Fuson and Samantha Quartuccio in three sets, 6-1, 6-7, 6-4.
The Lady Bobcats' pairing of Morgan Bailey and Jo Ferenzzi defeated Lindsey Swann and Saumbera Wiedenmannott, 7-5 and 7-6.
