NILES - Downtown property owners and community members are encouraged to attend the second annual Niles Main Street Design Workshop.
The workshop will take place on Thursday, Sept. 8, from 6 to 8 p.m., at 219 N. Fourth St., on the second floor in downtown Niles.
Those attending the workshop will learn about good design principals from Megan Meliant an architect with the Michigan State Historic Preservation Office.
The free architectural design assistance is a benefit of selection as a Michigan Main Street community and part of the Main Street package of services offered to Niles. The service will be offered through 2006 to the business district building owners who are interested in receiving professional design assistance with facade and building rehabilitation.
