Edwardsburg opened its tennis season against visiting Lakeshore Friday, Aug. 19 and suffered a 7-1 setback in non-conference play.
The Lady Eddies picked up their lone victory at No. 1 doubles where Lindsey Mette and Bethany Marschke defeated Christie Packer and Carly Knauf, 6-4 and 7-5.
Although Lakeshore swept the singles flights, there were several outstanding matches, including the No. 2 and No. 4 flights.
Competition was also tough in the doubles flights.
