Dogwood featuring Claire Hoinville

An art exhibition of the work of Claire Hoinville, respected artist and teacher, will open on Sept. 12 at the newly-renovated Dogwood Fine Arts Festival headquarters in Huntington Bank.
A reception from 4 until 6 p.m. will give viewers time to meet the artist and to view her work.
Hoinville paints in plein air.
Her diversity is demonstrated by her ability to paint a variety of subjects including landscapes, portraits, architecture and still life.
Hoinville graduated from Western Michigan University with a bachelor of arts degree.
She taught art for the Galien Public School system for 25 years.
During this period she continued to study painting at Notre Dame and IUSB.
Hoinville obtained additional training at Skidmore College, where she received fellowships a number of times.
