NILES - The start of the 2005-2006 school year is quickly approaching and the end of the district-wide construction projects for Brandywine Community Schools is approaching just as quickly.
On Monday evening, Brandywine Community Schools Board of Education received a report from Steve Orlando of SKANSKA Construction.
Also in construction news, Rider reported that the lighting equipment, which is being installed at the high school football field, will be delivered this Thursday, Aug. 25, at 8 a.m.
In other business, the board approved the hiring of all the fall coaches recommended by Vance Stratton, athletic director.
Finally the board did not take action to approve the new teachers' contract at Monday's meeting.
A special meeting of the board of education has been called for next Monday, Aug. 29, at 7 p.m., at the Bell Education Center, where the board will vote to approve the teacher's contract.
