Watercraft collide, killing one juvenile

CASSOPOLIS - Cass County Sheriff's Office Marine Patrol is investigating a boating crash that occurred on the southeast side of Donnell Lake in Penn Township.
A water craft pulling a tube with some juveniles was driving on the lake when it was being followed by a personal water craft.
The personal water craft was being driven by a 33- year-old male from Mishawaka, Ind.
The driver of the personal water craft ran into the tube that was being pulled by the water craft in front of it. Two juveniles were on the tube that result in 1 having minor injuries that were treated on scene and released and the other juvenile sustained fatal injuries in the crash. Alcohol might be a factor in the crash and the crash remains under investigation at this time. The Cass County Sheriff's Office Road Patrol, Penn Township Fire Department, Air Care, and Life Care Ambulance were all on scene assisting with the crash. The names of the crash are being withheld at this time.
