NILES - Recent Niles High School graduates Lindsay Krueger and Ali Brewer will be adding a lot of spirit to their college campus's over the next few years.
Instead of cheering for the Niles Vikings, like they did for four years, Krueger will be on the sidelines cheering on her Central Michigan Chippewas, while Brewer will cheering on her Ferris State Bulldogs.
Krueger tried out among 50 other hopefuls looking for a spot on the squad. After the first weekend, only seven girls were left standing, with a total of 24 girls on the team.
Brewer's tryout wasn't anything like what Krueger experienced. She sent a video to the Ferris State coach, showing her gymnastic, dance and stunt abilities and made the team with no questions asked.
Krueger will be studying elementary education during her time at Central, while Brewer will be majoring in dental hygene at Ferris.
