Larry Collins, Karen Gross win Best of Show

Dowagiac Art Guild's arts and crafts show last Saturday Aug. 6, was called a success by President Jenny Mehlenbeck.
Sixteen artists came to show their creations.
A wide variety of arts and crafters were represented, everything from colorful paintings by Edy Chappel to whimsical welded art by Robert Moffett.
Photography, lifelike dolls, garden stones and, of course, the Art Guild's painted chairs.

The Art Guild would like to once again thank members of the Niles Art Association - Patty Rose, Darren Smith and Toni Smith for judging this year.
Ribbons for art were awarded to:
Larry Collins for Best in Show.
Robert Moffett won first place.
James Lynch (not in picture) and Carol Kline tied for second place.
Member Karen Gross won Best of Show for crafts.
Richard Spangler won first place,
Sandy Bowmann won second.
Congratulations to all.
Finally, the Art Guild's annual Southwestern Michigan College scholarship award winner, Amanda Freeze from Constantine, was invited to come to the show.
Dowagiac Art Guild meetings take place on the second Wednesday of each month at Harvest Assembly of God on W. Prairie Ronde in Dowagiac.
