Chuck, Mike Rubino win men’s doubles title; Ann O’Keefe, Lisa Rubino win women’s double crown

Mike and Chuck Rubino captured the Dowagiac City Tennis Tournament's Men's Doubles championship Saturday with a 6-3 and 6-3 win over Dave Negron and Terry Proctor.
Team Rubino reached the finals with a 6-3 and 6-3 win over Jack Miller and Joel Arbanas in the semifinals.
Negron and Proctor defeated Larry Watson and Mike Hoff in the other semifinal, 7-5 and 7-5.
In the quarterfinals, Watson and Hoff beat Mike DeRose and Josue Miranda, 6-0 and 6-1. Negron and Proctor defeated Marshall and Matt Bailly, 6-0 and 6-1.
Miller and Arbanas defeated Rob and Craig Duszynski, 6-0 and 6-2, while the Rubinos defeated Scott Grabemeyer and Tim Nisonger, 6-3 and 6-3.
On Friday, Grabemeyer and Nisonger defeated Dustin Bair and Evan Bressler, 6-1 and 6-1; the Baillys defeated Dave Stroup and Brandon Turner, 6-3 and 6-3, while DeRose and Miranda defeated Matt and Andrew Marbach, 6-0 and 6-2.
Lisa Rubino and Ann O'Keefe defeated Sue Watson and Elyse Ver Berkmoes in the women's doubles finals, 6-7 (7-5), 6-1 and 6-2.
Rubino and O'Keefe defeated Calie Daniels and Lindsay Tyler, 6-2 and 7-6 (7-5), while Watson and Ver Berkmoes defeated Taylor Townsend and Ashley Smith, 6-1 and 6-2.
