NILES - The house has been built and the family moved in, but funds still need to be raised for the new Habitat for Humanity house in Niles.
When Nancy Butler from Coldwell Banker Real Estate Specialists in Niles took the challenge set forth by the national Coldwell Banker office for 100 independent brokers to sponsor 100 Habitat for Humanity homes to be built across the country, as part of their 100th anniversary, she didn't know all that it would entail.
When Butler took the challenge she had no idea the that raising the funds for the home would be as much trouble as it has been.
Butler, Herwick and the other associates at Coldwell Banker have done many fundraisers over the year they have been doing the project but the numbers just aren't adding up.
They are looking for the support of the community to help them raise the remaining $20,000 for the project.
Anyone interested in making a monetary donation to help Coldwell Banker reach their goal or if you have fundraising ideas, contact Nancy Butler or Diana Herwick at Coldwell Banker Real Estate Specialists at (269) 683-4507.
