Two crashes in Howard Twp.

CASSOPOLIS - Cass County deputies investigated two personal-injury accidents in Howard Township Friday, July 29, Sheriff Joseph M. Underwood reports.
The first crash, at 2:58 p.m., happened on Detroit Road, near Anderson Road.
Thomas Perevill, 29, of Sandwich, Ill., was traveling east on Detroit Road when he ran into a turning van driven by Adam Doyle, 27, of Nappanee, Ind.
Due to the force of impact, Doyle's vehicle was pushed off the road and rolled over.
The sheriff said all parties were using safety belts. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash.
Southwestern Michigan Community Ambulance Service (SMCAS) transported Doyle to South Bend, Ind., Memorial Hospital.
Perevill was released at the scene.
Assisting on the scene were Howard Township Fire and Rescue, SMCAS, Life Care Ambulance and the Michigan State Police.
The second mishap, at 9 p.m., occurred on White Street, near Anderson Road. Robert Daus, 56, of Niles, was eastbound on White Street when a deer ran out of the field into his motorcycle.
Due to the force of impact, Daus lost control of the vehicle, downing it and was ejected from the motorcycle.
Alcohol may be a factor in the crash, according to the sheriff.
SMCAS transported Daus to South Bend Memorial Hospital.
Howard Township Fire and Rescue personnel and SMCAS assisted deputies at the scene.
