NBGSA All-Stars gear up for tourney action

NILES - The NBGSA 12U and 16U All-Star tournament got under way Thursday evening and will continue action all weekend.
With more than 15 area teams involved, games will be played at Fields 1 and 2 at Fireman's Youth Park and the softball field at Brandwyine High School.
The 12U and 16U NBGSA All-Stars will play their first game of pool play this evening, with the 12U All-Stars facing Blaze at 7:45 p.m. and the 16U All-Stars playing Explosion at 9:30 p.m.
Along with the NBGSA All-Stars, Intensity, a team also comprised of players from the NBGSA league, will compete in the 16U bracket with their first game being played on Saturday at 11:45 a.m. against the Chargers.
All three teams will play throughout the day on Saturday.
On Thursday, South Haven met Shock, Clay played Crush and Navy faced Blaze. No results were available for these games at presstime.
Don't miss any of the action this weekend as some of the best players in the area meet on the field.
