NILES - Travel back through time with the Four Flags Players.
Something a little different is being offered at the Sunday in the Park concert series this week.
The audience will be treated to a Musical Time Warp, performed by the Four Flags Players.
The group performing is comprised mainly of junior high and high school students from the community.
They will perform for the audience an ensemble as well as solo numbers, spanning the last 100 years of music.
Last year the group offered The Disney Review, which proved to be quite a success and this year's selection will not be a disappointment.
Many members of the community may not be aware of the Four Flags Players.
Eycleshymer added, "About a year ago one of the original members, Todd Wakevainen, thought it would be wonderful to get this group up and running again. We did a short murder mystery and then our first real production last February and it was a big hit. We are really just looking to offer the community its own theater. It would be wonderful if we could get the old Ready Theater up and running again with the help of the show Three Wishes."
The group has gotten a lot of interest since its first performance last year and are trying to work out a deal with the First Presbyterian Church in Niles to use their stage, so they can have a real home.
The Sunday in the Park Concert is held at the Riverfront Amphitheater, at Riverfront Park in downtown Niles, at 6 p.m.
Come on down to the riverfront this Sunday. Bring a blanket or a chair, perhaps an umbrella as a sunshade, and your voices for many favorite sing-a-longs and good old-fashioned summer fun, for all ages.
