Selge stays on top

NILES -Selge has done the damage.
The team not only remains undefeated in the 11-12 year-old playoffs, but they have knocked every team down they have played this week to the Loser's bracket and have earned themselves a spot in the final game on Friday.
On Wednesday, Selge faced Gallaghers and had no problem getting by them as they took a 19-3 win.
Selge scored nine runs alone in the first inning of play.
Offensively, Selge was led by Heather Daniels, who went 3-for-3 and scored four runs.
Every player on Selge scored at least one run
Brittany Buti scored three, Alexis Lenox, Devinn Adams, Tara Chamberlain and Stephanie Anderson each scored twice, with Helen Davis, Courtney Rough, Jenna Shirrell and Ashley Evans each scoring once.
Selge was led defensively by winning pitcher Lenox, who struck out eight batters in three innings.
Gallaghers was led by Nicole Sly with a single. Sly, Kara Bouwkamp, and Elizabeth Shelton each scored a run for Gallaghers. Dana Del-Muro took the loss for Gallaghers.
Dugout and All Points will meet tonight at 6 at Fireman's Youth Park. The winner will advance on Friday at 6 p.m. against Gallaghers.
The winner of that game will then face Selge at 7:45 p.m. for the championship game. If Selge is defeated, the final game will be played at 9:30 p.m.
The 13-16 year-old playoffs will begin Saturday morning. This is a single elimination tournament.
Hackers vs. All Points
After losing its first game of the playoffs to Dugout, All Points came back to pick up a 10-3 win over Hackers Tuesday evening in NBGSA 11-12 year-old playoff action.
Charissa Spear took the win on the mound for All Points against Carly Shirrell.
Top hitters for Hackers were Allie Roebek and Sabrina Mokwa both with hits.
Spear and Diana Savastano led the way offensively for All Points both getting hits.
Selge vs. Dugout
Dugout suffered its first loss of the playoffs Tuesday evening to Selge, 8-6, after a late comback in the final inning wasn't enough to pull them ahead.
Dugout was able to score four runs in the fifth inning after being down 8-2, but Selge got three outs before Dugout could bring in three runs.
Brittany Buti took the win on the mound for Selge, throwing two strike outs and allowing 10 hits in three innings pitched.
Lauren Hopper sufferd the loss for Dugout.
Dugout was led offensively by Sam Low and Courtney Adolph both with hits.
Top hitters for Selge were Lenox and Evans also both with hits.
