NILES - The Intensity 16U travel team took second place at the NSA/SCHUTT Scholarship Super World NIT Tournament last weekend.
Niles Intensity went 2-1 in pool play, defeating the West Coast Flames 5-4 and the Indiana Raiders 13-3. Intensity fell to N.W.O. Lady Irish Green 4-3.
In bracket play, which was a single elimination tournament, Intensity defeated the Michigan Outlaws 5-4 and Big Rapids Rush 5-4. Intensity fell in the championship game to the West Michigan Jaguars 8-1.
The team will travel to Warsaw, Ind. this weekend for more tournament action.
