NILES - It was an easy night for the Niles Greens as they took a 12-2 win over the Niles Reds in Babe Ruth Seniors League action Tuesday evening.
The Reds scored their one and only run in the bottom of the fifth inning, with the Greens scoring in every inning with the exception of one.
Dave Moran took the win on the mound for the Greens. Moran had four strike outs, allowed two walks and one hit.
Zack Bennett suffered the loss for the Reds. Bennett had three strike outs, five walks, allowed five hits and two runs to score.
The Greens were led offensively by Jeff Cooper with two doubles and four RBIs, Adrian Davis had a double and two RBIs, Steve Clanton had a single, Marcus Lawshea had a single and a RBI, John Watson had a single and Aaron Koziel had a double and two RBIs.
Josh Atwood was the lone hitter for the Reds with a double.
