The Dowagiac 11-year-old All-Star team opened up Michigan Little League District 15 playoff action Monday night with an 18-9 victory over Schoolcraft in Niles.
The Dowagiac All-Stars are set to get back into action tonight as they host South Haven at 6 p.m. at Russom Fields in the third round.
The All-Stars will also face Mattawan on Wednesday at 6 p.m. in Vicksburg and then wrap up round robin qualifier play on Friday at 6 p.m. in Mattawan.
In other action Monday night, Dowagiac was blanked b Mattawan in Junior Softball, 3-0.
Over in Cassopolis, Niles F.O.P. rallied from a 6-1 deficit to defeat the Cass All-Stars 16-9 in 9/10 Baseball.
Cassopolis' Major Baseball All-Star squad travels to Niles tonight to take on White Pigeon at 6 p.m.
