11-12 year-old softball playoffs begin at Fireman’s Youth Park

NILES - Playoff action has begun in the 11-12 year-old division of girls' softball at Fireman's Youth Park.
The tournament will continue this week, with the winner being determined on Friday.
Teams in the 11-12 year-old division are: Hacker's Gallaghers, Selge, Dugout and All Points.
On Monday evening, Dugout and All Points met for the first playoff game.
Dugout was able to take the 14-13 win when Sarah Ferguson pounded a triple to the outfield with bases loaded
Dugout had been trailing All Points 14-11 when Ferguson hit the triple.
The game was ended in the third inning due to time limit.
Alex McIntee took the win on the mound for Dugout throwing two strike outs in two innings pitched.
Taylor Mandschein took the loss for All Points.
Dugout was led offensively by Ferguson with a triple and Taylor Gordon with a double.
Top hitters for All Points were Charissa Spear and Sam Vaughn both with one single each.
Every member of Dugout's team contributed runs during the game.
Sam Low, Gordon and McIntee all had two runs and Ferguson, Kristina King, Chelsea Adolph, Chelsea Ravish, Courtney Adolf, Lauren Hopper, Catlin Dippo and Courtney Craft all had one run each.
Playoff action will begin this evening with games being played at 6 and 7:45 p.m.
No results were available for the Hacker's vs. Gallaghers game at press time.
Schraders vs. Gordons
Teams in the 13-16 year-old division are preparing for the start of playoffs, which are set to begin this Saturday at 10 a.m.
On Monday, Schraders took a 1-0 win over Gordons in the final week of regular season play.
Jennifer York took the win for Schraders on the mound and Carly Gordon suffered the loss.
Schraders was led offensively by Emily Ross with a triple.
Gordon led Gordon's offensively with a single.
Gordon's will return to the field tonight to face Bridges at 6 p.m.
Schraders will also return to action this evening to face Lows at 7:45 p.m.
At 9:30 p.m., Fullers will take on Rifenberg.
